Children learn by playing.......
The Parent / Toddler Workshop is for children ages 18 months to 3 years and their
parents. Children and parents learn together in various interest areas set up as
an early childhood environment on the 2nd floor of the library. Information is
shared about child development and guidance, nutrition, health, community
resources, music and movement, and early literacy.

Why
Does the Library Offer Parent/Toddler Workshop?
1. To assist
parents and caregivers in the role of their child's first
teacher.
2. To
interactively "play" (which is how children learn) with
their child in a developmentally appropriate early childhood
environment--THE LIBRARY!!!
3. To help
children function in a social situation and build creativity
and critical thinking skills.
4. To use
library materials at home and extend library learning.
5. To talk
with other parents, caregivers and local resource
professionals
Parent/Child Workshops are
an open program, so it can become a little crowded. For more information, please
